Burundi is still waiting for the financial contribution promised by Britain to be made available before sending two battalions to Somalia, the spokesman for the Ministry of National Defence and Veterans, Lieutenan t -Colonel Adolphe Manirakiza, said Thursday.

He also indicated the departure of the 1,800 Rwandan forces was imminent, as Britain will soon send the money needed to pay salaries to the soldiers for the first three months.
